Unstoppable St Christopher’s Seniors clinched the Arsenal Soccer School Bahrain Cup competition, adding a seventh trophy to their tally for the year.
The players were recently crowned Arsenal Ladies League champions and awarded the GulfWeekly Premiership Trophy.
The end-of-season cup competition, held at Batelco’s sporting grounds in Hamala, featured two groups of four teams. Group A consisted of St Christopher’s Seniors, the U16 Bahrain Nationals, Arsenal Red and Eastern Flames. Group B had Arsenal Blue, league runners-up Joga Bonito, Arsenal Yellow and St Christopher’s Intermediate in the play-off.
St Chris stole the show with a single goal advantage over Arsenal Blue and Joga Bonito won the plate contest with Arsenal Red as runners-up.
The players were back on the pitch on Monday for a fun social tournament with all the teams mixed up. The match action was followed by a formal awards presentation.
