Batelco has reported high demand for tickets for the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) 2012. They are being sold at all Batelco retail shops and are selling fast.
Due to the success of the inaugural event in January 2010, there is increased demand for tickets for BIAS 2012, which will take place at the Sakhir Airbase on January 19-21.
Batelco, Bahrain’s leading integrated communications provider, is a major sponsor of the event for the second time.
Tickets for adults are priced at BD7 per day with tickets for children, up to 15 years of age, priced at BD3. Discounts of five per cent is available on the purchase of 20 or more tickets, which can be of any type and for any of the three dates.
The tickets are for entrance to the public area which will feature viewing stands and a wide range of entertainment and dining options. All visitors must park their cars at the Bahrain International Circuit where shuttle buses will be available to transport them to the airshow.
The event organisers have secured a range of entertaining activities. Visitors can experience a high speed jet experience in a cutting edge flight simulator. Two simulators, which hold up to 10 people each, are being shipped in for the occasion from the UK.
Additionally, seven attractions are expected to arrive from the UK as part of an Inflatable Fun Zone to cater to children of all ages. The items include the Water Balls Experience which will enable visitors to walk, run and collide on water inside giant inflated balls!
There will be a fireworks display set to music as a finale to each day.
“Following the positive reviews of the 2010 event, Batelco was delighted to confirm its sponsorship for the 2012 Airshow,” said Batelco Group general manager Media Relations Ahmed Al Janahi.
“The excellent range of entertainment being provided for the general public promises a lot of fun for families,” added Mr Al Janahi.
