A friend of the Whisperer and his lovely wife had a close call during their anniversary trip to Oman. After a lovely day of sight-seeing the happy couple took a guided tour to Wadi Shab – a beautiful canyon with a river running through the middle.
As they climbed to the top, the heat became unbearable and when the husband turned around to complain to his wife, he noticed she’d passed out!
Thankfully the Bahrain-based couple were not alone on the mountaintop and a flock of nearby tourists came to their aid while the tour guide ran to get help.
The husband began talking with a friendly family who generously provided a bottle of water and, wouldn’t you know it, the family was living in Bahrain too!
The entire family wasted no time helping the husband carry his poorly Mrs all the way down the mountain to safety. When he asked if there was anything he could do to repay them, the answer: ‘just get home safe’.
