The Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Heritage isholding an exhibition of drawings by Bahraini artist Ebrahim Bu Saad. The Ring of the Dove is an exhibition of 20 drawings inspired by the famous literary work of the same name by the 10th Century Arab poet Ibn Hazm Al Andalusi. The exhibition begins at 7pm and runs until January 24 at the Bin Matar House in Muharraq.

A range of cultural exhibitions, music, shows and fairs are taking place throughout the year to mark Manama being named the Arab Capital of Culture 2012.
The celebrations began on Monday with exhibitions showcasing the heritage of Manama and a symposium of sculptures by talented Arab artists.
The Approach of Reality and the Colour of the Dream exhibition, which opened yesterday, showcases the works of a selection of artists from the Arab World Institute. Sculptures depicting Arab heritage are on display during the 5th Bahrain International Sculpture Symposium.
Nationwide events will be held throughout the year and will focus on Bahraini theatre, art, architecture, fashion, heritage, poetry and writing, film, music, environment and the renovation of infrastructure.
Events are open to the public at the Bahrain National Museum until January 31.
