Costa Coffee has joined the ‘flat white’ revolution which is spreading across the island and had its very own world champion barista Ace Valino, right, teaching customers the art of making the perfect cup.
The coffee beverage originates from New Zealand and was reportedly created in the early 1980s in Auckland.
To celebrate its introduction across Costa outlets on the island, the company distributed gifts to customers at its Bahrain City Centre branch and invited them to make their own flat white, with basic lessons of how to heat the milk, extract the coffee and make the design on the cup. Costa is so confident it will be a hit that customers are offered a free cup of their usual coffee if they don’t like it.
