Ebrahim Al Hashel posted a gross score of 72 to clinch the 30th Airmech golf competition played at Awali Golf Club.
The overall champion is the person with the lowest gross score, regardless of handicap. In addition, the division one golfers play the course from the championship tees.
Al Hashel, who has a handicap of six, also claimed runner-up in the first division nett contest. Ateeq Majali was the first division winner with a nett 66 (gross 73) and AR Amin continued his good run of form to claim the final podium position (nett 68).
In the second division, Ali Danesh fired a best of the day nett 64 to beat Christopher Ware (nett 65) and Dave Bridger (nett 66), who finished second and third respectively.
In the third division, Dave Pegler claimed first position with a nett 66 which was good enough to pip David Isaacs (nett 69) and Mark Hodgkinson (nett 70), who finished in second and third positions. Beth Robinson, who also scored a nett 70, was unfortunate to lose on countback.
