The Red Bull Car Park Drift event is back at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), Sakhir. The event starts at 6pm.
The Bahrain Wheelathon fund-raiser is being held at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir in aid of local charities.

Take to the famous track on the wheels of your choice; cycle, skateboard, roller blade or even push your little one in a buggy — the options are endless. 

The event provides a real family day out for everyone to enjoy. Funds are raised by the individual participants obtaining sponsorship with participants deciding to use either a 5.4 km or 2.2 km course.

The minimum level of sponsorship to take part is BD10 for adults and BD2 for children and there are opportunities for corporate sponsorship available.

Prizes will be given to participants generating the highest levels of sponsorship.  Adding to Friday’s fun, prior to the main event, there will be a competitive fancy dress hospital bed race. 

The organisers are also looking for the best shot taken at the event by an amateur and the winning photo will be used to publicise the event next year.

Albareh Art Gallery is hosting a solo exhibition by sculpture/ jewellery artist Maja Soric. It opens today from 7.30 – 9pm at abcad. Maja will also present a talk explaining the creative process behind her work tomorrow at 11am.
 
The exhibition will run until March 31 at abcad, Saturdays through Thursdays, from 10am – 1pm and from 4 – 8pm.


Bahrain residents are being offered the opportunity to learn new artistic talents through a series of workshops taking place alongside the Spring of Culture 2012 Festival.
 
For acrobatic lovers, Tom Tom Crew group will hold a workshop on Saturday, from 11am to 12pm at Arad Fort, for kids above 10.

Drama lovers are invited to attend the Actor’s Toolbox workshop It will be held next Wednesday at the Arts Centre between 5pm and 6pm.

Another workshop, Jody Sperling – Time Lapse Dance co. will be dedicated held for children aged five and above on April 3 at the Cultural Hall between 5pm and 6pm.

The Tap Dogs group is holding a workshop to practice some tap dance moves and rhythms for kids and teenagers. It will be hosted on April 6, at the Arad Fort from 11am to 12pm.

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) has put together a month-long range of exhibits, games and live shows at Seef Mall’s West Extension in preparation for this year’s Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

These include a kids’ entertainment area and a ‘Mega Drive’ game on a miniature BIC track. Some of Bahrain’s leading artist’swork will also be on display.

Meanwhile, a series of memorable performances from world-renowned acts will be held during weekends. These include musicians, acrobats, dancers, magicians and theatrical performers.

There will also be trick-shot pool, BMX freestyling, a basketball trampoline show, and balancing acts.

All the entertainment will remain open to the public until April 7 from 10am until 10pm each day.
