Nasser Eid emerged the overall winner in Awali Golf Club’s African and Eastern Carlsberg stableford competition with a total of 41 points.
The early morning players enjoyed better playing conditions as the uncertain weather prevented some of the afternoon players from finishing their rounds.
David Frosdick and Andy ‘Ace’ McAlpine each finished on 39 points to wrap up the podium places. Neil Wilson, Robert Storrie and Pete Rogers each scored a creditable 38 points to secure places in the top 10.
Sultan M Saad, who won three of the four nearest the pin prizes, was seventh with 37 points. Blair Chalmers, Paul Beaumont and Arunava Banerjee (each 36) rounded up the top 10.
