Uma Thurman to guest star on hit drama Smash

Kill Bill actress Uma Thurman, 42, is to feature as a guest star on the rising TV drama Smash. The actress, plays RebeccaDuvall, a movie star brought in to headline the Marilyn Monroe musical on the show.

Smash is a hit musical dramedy show basedaround a Broadway musical written by the successful songwriting duo, Tom and Julia about Marilyn Monroe. The episode featuring Thurman is one of the strongest episodes of the series so far, with the addition of three new Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman songs as well as the show’s own rendition of Kelly Clarkson’s hit song Breakaway. Thurman is rumoured to star in the coming week’s episodes as well.

Terrence Mann, Tony- Award winner for Les Misérables and Cats, also guest stars, with the episode, entitled ‘The Understudy’ taking a stronger dramatic standard of the series.

Smash airs on Fridays at 9pm on OSN First.
