The Heritage Festival closes today. It celebrates Bahrain’s history through local speaking engagements, a theatrical performance, children’s events, workshops and a children’s fashion show, will be held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. A summer biathlon is to take place on May 25 at the Amwaj Marina in Amwaj Islands. The Juniors Try A Bi, for age groups 12-15, and the 16+ Try A Bi consists of a 300m swim followed by a 3km run. The main event will feature a 600m swim, followed by a 5km run. For those who prefer to walk and not swim, a walk-a-thon of 4km is open to anyone aged 11 and over at BD2 per person.

Registration starts at 2pm with the events beginning from 4pm. Entry fees are BD6 for juniors aged 12-15 and BD8 for adults aged 16+.

Other activities will be available including a DJ, face painting, henna and a bouncy castle. All proceeds will go towards charity.
