There were some stunning scores in the May competition of the Euro Motors BMW Monthly Medal at the Royal Golf Club with Ray Bruhn managing to squeeze past fellow member Ronan Armstrong to capture the division one title with a stunning net score of 67.

Armstrong was just one shot adrift on net 68 in what were perfect conditions on the Club’s Montgomerie championship course.

In the division two category, Lady Captain Danni Sheppard impressed with a stunning net 66 just beating PING Seniors Open champion Madden Broadbent on countback.

In the third division a truly remarkable net 61 from Haitham Haji ensured he was the winner by a full nine shots over runner-up Ahmed Sultan.

Karen Black qualified as the top lady with a three under par net 69. All the winners will go on to compete in the Euro Motors BMW Grand Final which will take place at the Royal Golf Club in December.

“Our maintenance team have had to reduce the height of the rough on the golf course in order to allow the summer grass to grow through so it’s no wonder there were some very impressive scores out there this weekend,” explained John Wilson, the club’s operations and events manager.

“Congratulations to all the winners of this month’s event and we look forward to seeing them battle it out in the final in December.”
