FORMER X Factor judge and British pop singer Cheryl Cole is set to make a cameo appearance on a forthcoming episode of the musical TV show Glee.
The singer-turned-actress is set to ‘gleek’ out and play teacher Will Schuester’s ex girlfriend, according to Jane Lynch, who plays the arrogant coach Sue Sylvester on the hit TV programme.
According to Lynch, the 29-year-old star came ‘highly recommended’ by star Matthew Morrison, who plays Mr Schuester, when they worked together on the recent film What to Expect When You’re Expecting.
Lynch said: “There’s been talk on set of Cheryl appearing for a year or so, but it is set to happen now. Matthew Morrison has spoken very highly of her and the younger guys on set are keen to have her on, for obvious reasons. Matthew’s chatted to her and she seems keen. Cheryl’s the perfect Glee fit - she can sing, she can dance and she looks good.
“It would be cool if she played herself. She might be used to getting treated like a princess but Sue Sylvester doesn’t make exceptions for anybody. If Cheryl starts acting like a diva, she’ll see that Sue is meaner than Simon Cowell.”
The show is currently on hiatus but will return in September.
