Notoriously troubled actors Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen will be teaming up on the fifth instalment to the Scary Movie franchise.

The role Mean Girls star Lohan will play in the movie is still unknown but Sheen will return as Tom Logan, who was introduced to fans in Scary Movie 3 and 4, despite being killed off in the latest film.

High School Musical’s Ashley Tisdale and Kevin Hart will also appear in the movie which is set to be a complete reboot of the franchise.

Director Malcolm Lee is working with director David Zucker, who wrote and directed the third and fourth films for this franchise, and the movie is slated for release in April 2013.
Lohan has just finished filming Liz & Dick, a biopic about Elizabeth Taylor, marking her fledgling return to the big-screen after a string of legal issues.

Meanwhile, former Two and a Half Men star Sheen has landed his own TV series, Anger Management on FX.

The Scary Movie films parody the most popular titles in the horror genre.
