Emirates Airlines has introduced a collection of onboard toys for young globalistas who can now enjoy the company of new travel companions.

With two ranges of toys aimed at pre-schoolers and older children, Emirates hope to enable young passengers to have an entertaining and memorable journey, the airline claims.

Pre-school children have the opportunity to grab a range of original monster characters from the ‘Fly With Me Monster’ collection. The playful monsters – Jimbob, Tezz, Camus and Wagga – each have their own personalities and traits, and are ideal characters to fuel a child’s imagination.

Each monster toy comes in three product categories: Blanket Buddies – plush characters wrapped around soft polar fleece blankets, Seat Belt Critters – little toys worn around a seat belt to encourage safety, and Magnetic Sketchers where young flyers can unleash their inner Picasso for hours of creativity and entertainment.

For older children, a range of new travel-inspired products co-designed with lifestyle brand Quiksilver are on offer.

Tapping into the spirit of adventure, travel and the great outdoors, the Quiksilver folio collection is designed around three themes – surfing, snowboarding and skating.

According to the airline, the collection encourages personalisation and discovery. Velcro surf-style wallets feature the latest Quiksilver graphics  combined with fun-fact game cards.

“We are constantly seeking more dynamic entertainment options for our discerning young travellers, when they are onboard,” said Terry Daly, divisional senior vice president, service delivery, Emirates. “Families have come to expect the stress-free and enjoyable travel experience Emirates is known for, and the introduction of these new toys, reinforces our commitment to ensuring that families have access to rich entertainment content across multiple platforms.”

The airline says all flights will offer a selection of the new toys for pre-schoolers with the Quiksilver products on long-haul flights over five hours. Young flyers can also enjoy the existing range of children’s products including the E-kids magazine, colour pencils, branded Emirates rucksacks and cooler bags, children’s eyeshades and the popular Dr Seuss books.

The new toy collections combined with an updated in-flight entertainment system and a dedicated children’s onboard menu with its own colourful livery, underpins Emirates’ commitment to providing families with a hassle-free, relaxing journey, the company says.
