Saturday: St Christopher’s School in Isa Town will host its inaugural Model United Nations Conference on Saturday. More than a hundred students from schools across Bahrain will participate in the student-led initiative. The delegates, who will be representing different countries, will debate a range of current affairs issues in five discrete councils.

Starting Sunday: The Ministry of Culture presents the 21st Bahrain International Music Festival, an annual event that celebrates diverse music from around the world.
This year’s festival serves as the focal point of the Music Month portion of the Manama: Capital of Arab Culture programme, a year-long celebration.

The week-long festival, held at the Cultural Hall, near Bahrain National Museum,runs from Sunday until October 5.

Mezzo-soprano opera singer Nouresta El Marghany, pictured right, will be the first act and will explore the theme of love through the ages.
