Three restaurants in Bahrain have introduced an innovative new concept of lunch for busy office workers. Rice Bowl, Med CafÈ and Pastarito, all part of the Al Azzam Group, have created a special ‘Lunch Box’ concept, which consists of six different meal combinations, including dessert and a soft drink.

The Rice Bowl Lunch Box menu offers diners a choice of chicken, beef and vegetarian Indian and Chinese classic dishes, accompanied by a choice of naan bread or plain rice, pulao rice or vegetable fried rice.

Med CafÈ Lunch Box offers a range of starters including spinach fatayer, kibbeh, spicy potatoes, cheese rolls, samboosek, along with moutabal, hummus, tabouleh, fatoush, grilled halloumi and vine leaves, as well as grilled chicken, shish tawouk, lamb tikka, mixed kebab, kibbah labania and oozi, accompanied with a choice of Lebanese bread, oozi or shariah rice.

The Pastarito Lunch Box promises Italian favourites, including calamari fritti, mozzarella in carrozza, arancino di riso, along with mixed salad or tomato soup, pastas in various sauces, chicken steak, risottos and garlic bread, plus a cake-of-the-day.

Customers can choose a Lunch Box from any of the three outlets for as little as BD3.8 although this special offer is only available in Seef area during weekdays, Sundays to Thursdays, from 11am until 5pm.
