Gulf Weekly Raw power combined with a tough new look

THE new Mitsubishi L200 lives up to its workhorse reputation for all-round versatility, strength and reliability.

From small businesses and large firms to industries and distribution companies, the ever trustworthy L200 comes in handy as an economical crew cab and efficient means for technicians and engineers to commute to and from their worksites.

Mitsubishi dealers, Zayani Motors, says it offers raw power combined with a tough new look that makes it seem more like a lifestyle vehicle than a commercial pick-up.

Available in two-wheel-drive form with a 2.4-litre petrol engine or a 2.5-litre turbo diesel, the L200 has proved to be an interesting proposition both on and off road and boasts cabin comfort on a par with many passenger cars.

“Keen pricing, generous specification, technical advancements and stunning styling make the L200 an extraordinary proposition,” said Mohammed Zaki, general manager at Zayani Motors.

The mighty Mitsubishi brute, which starts at BD6,700 on the road, has a leaf spring suspension at the rear, with enough brawn to tow 2,550kg and a sophisticated double wishbone and coil arrangement up front. The brakes, rear axle, steering gear and the chassis have all been substantially beefed up too.
