Mohammed Al Sayed’s luck finally changed in this year’s EuroMotors BMW Medal Series Grand Final at the Royal Golf Club (RGC) when he won category one of the competition with a nett score of 73 after being runner-up fort the last two years.
In testing windy conditions Al Sayed’s total was just enough to earn top spot ahead of Yeon Gul Kim who finished second with nett 74 while Depriest Daniels made up the top three with a nett 76.
There were also some high scores in category two despite the wind, which played havoc on the back nine holes of the course. Salman Al Bader won with a nett score of 73, Robert Timmers was runner-up with nett 76 and Ahmed Sultan finished a close third with nett 77.
Liz Gardner secured top spot in the ladies category. Her nett 77 was just enough to hold off Toshimi Abe and Debbie Lane who finished second and third respectively with a nett score of 79.
