Bethany Joy Lenz has joined the cast of Dexter for the upcoming season of the cult-hit serial killer drama.
The former One Tree Hill actress will play Cassie, Dexter’s (Michael C. Hall) new next-door neighbour who is described as ‘an attractive former finance executive looking for a quieter life’.
The character will first appear in the fourth episode of season eight, which will likely be the final season. Last Resort’s Darri Ingolfsson will play her antique dealer boyfriend.
Lenz joins previously announced guest stars Charlotte Rampling, who will play a neuro-psychiatrist specialising in working with young psychopaths and profiling criminals in unorthodox ways and Sean Patrick Flanery who will play the owner of a private investigation company.
Dexter’s eighth season will premiere on June 30 in the US.
One Tree Hill airs everyday at midday and 7pm on OSN First HD.
