Film – The Hunger Games at 4.30pm on MBC 2

In the future, the US is no more and in its place is Panem, a divided nation split into 12 districts. Every year, each district selects a teenager of each gender to test their worth in a competition known as the Hunger Games, which are broadcast across the nation as entertainment. When her younger sister is selected as District 12’s offering, Katniss volunteers to take her place and trains under a former champion to sharpen her killer instincts.


Sport –Project Detention at 4pm on Fuel TV

This reality show follows sportsman on their journey to success. This episode will feature snowboarder Miles Lewis as he hits the Tahoe Backcountry, bikers let loose in Eastern Canada, Shane Daugherty and Paul Norton throw down some street skating moves and a pack of surfers make waves in the Indo-Pacific.

Series – Top Gear at 6pm on MBC Action HD

The presenters, Jeremy, Richard and James talk about everything car-related. In this episode they undertake an incredible road trip in iconic supercars, taking in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and a race against fighter planes before ending with a hair-raising run to Mexico. The show has become popular due to its irreverent approach to motoring, the humour and the priceless chemistry between the show’s presenters.


Film – The Rum Diary at 9pm on OSN Cinema

At bitter odds with the Eisenhower-era conventions of the 1950s, journalist Paul Kemp flees to Puerto Rico where he quickly lands a job as a reporter for a newspaper. Drawing inspiration from author Ernest Hemingway, the newly liberated journalist becomes slowly entangled in the lives of American beauty Chenault and her shady husband Sanderson, a wealthy real-estate developer.

Carrie Mathison, a CIA operations officer, has been reassigned to the counter terrorism centre. Whilst in Iraq, she was warned that an American prisoner had gone rogue. When Nicholas Brody, a US Marine, is rescued after being held hostage since 2003, she suspects that he is the one she was warned about and goes to any lengths possible, ignoring protocol, to catch him out.

After years of looking for ‘Mr Right’, Charlie Cantilini finally finds the man of her dreams but soon discovers that his mother Viola is the woman of her nightmares. She is determined to scare off her son’s new fiancée by becoming the world’s worst mother-in-law. While Viola’s assistant Ruby does her best to help execute her crazy schemes, Charlie decides to fight back and the gloves come off as the two women battle it out to see just who the alpha-female is.

He finds the remarkable animals that give rise to rumours of monsters through unforgettable journeys to experience the most intimate encounters with wildlife.
