Ne-Yo, aka The Gentleman, danced up a storm to thrill thousands of fans who stayed behind to listen to the music after a day of ear-shattering, engine-rattling motor racing noise.

It was time to cool down the pace and no one does it better than this accomplished Grammy Award-winning artiste.

When 6pm arrived, the vending area main stage came to life with dancers and a lit backdrop featuring a countdown followed by the words ‘Let’s Go’, a play on the words of Ne-Yo’s recent hit.

The soulful artist then made his grand entrance as lights dazzled and the crowd went into raptures. He kicked off the show with the song, a perfect start which had the audience screaming and throwing their hands in the air. They were ready to go, no doubt about it!

Ne-Yo serenaded the crowd with one hit after the other including his US number one So Sick; his top 10 smash Sexy Love and crowd favourite Because of You.

Some fans began to sway while others formed conga lines and snaked through the crowd. There were great views off the Paddock’s terrace but those watching from a distance missed out on an intimate performance.

When Ne-Yo sang Closer, many must have wished they were closer to the action as the crowd was treated to stunning choreography that could just be made out from the giant projector screens alongside the stage.

Ne-Yo performed a set of moves that would have made the late, great king of pop Michael Jackson proud.

After Ne-Yo’s one hour set was over, music lovers had a further 30-minute wait for Scottish DJ, singer, song-writer and producer Calvin Harris to take to the stage.

Some of Ne-yo’s fans left giving Calvin’s devotees the chance to get closer to the stage and it couldn’t have come at a better time because his show was amazing. The bright lights, explosive streamers and spectacular effects complimented the crisp, clear dance music echoing from the large speakers.

Calvin turned BIC’s vending area into a rave party that had everybody jumping around. He played his top singles including Bounce along with songs he had written and produced such as Rihanna’s We Found Love. His performance was off-the-charts along with the 3-D graphics projected on the backdrop behind him. It left everybody in awe.

Great job BIC for putting on an exciting show that fans will never forget. How will you top it next year?
