POPULAR radio DJ David Bloomer was presented with a 2013 Jeep Wrangler by Behbehani Brothers in appreciation for his new role as Jeep brand ambassador.
Mr Bloomer is best known for his engaging interviews on Radio Bahrain, but less known is that he is also a certified off-road instructor, levels 1-3, and a certified night-time instructor too.
He said: “I was one of the first people to be qualified as an off-road instructor here in the kingdom at the Bahrain International Circuit, but I’d done a lot of off-roading before that.
“I have driven off-road around the world in places like Jordan, Syria and even Venezuela and there are some great places to go in Bahrain too.
“I find that whenever I do a driving event people always ask me what I drive and it’ll be a pleasure to tell them I now drive a Wrangler.
“Jeeps have a great history going all the way back to the Second World War and I’m delighted to be given this opportunity to represent the original of the species.”
Mr Bloomer’s role involves delivering short presentations and helping the brand by showcasing his driving skills at 4x4 events.
The Wrangler comes in two variants, Sport and Sahara.
