Gulf Weekly The hidden danger in your toiletries

Most people don’t realise that a big portion of their toxins come from the toiletries they use.

For example, fluoride toothpaste can be harmful because fluoride is a toxin. In fact, fluoride is the active ingredient in rat poison so you really should be avoiding it.

Also, some antiperspirants contain aluminium. Aluminium is a toxin that you do NOT want anywhere close to your body!

SPF creams are also bad news. And, so are chemical facial cleansers and make-up removers.

And the list goes on …

That’s usually when people despair and give up. But I have good news. There are a lot of natural alternatives that you can add to your toiletries that would be giving you health instead of toxins.

Here are a few suggestions:
Replace your fluoride toothpaste with a natural toothpaste that is fluoride-free.
Replace your aluminium antiperspirant with a crystal deodorant (sold at most health shops).
Remove your make-up with regular almond oil that is both gentle and moisturising at the same time.
Buy natural shampoos and conditioners that will not add toxins to your hair or scalp.
Moisturise your face and body with almond oil or coconut oil instead of chemical-laden face creams.
And, the best health tip of all, instead of mouthwash, use organic cold-pressed sesame oil and swish it in your mouth for 15-minutes daily to get a deep-cleansing and whitening effect, without the toxins.
