THE Yateem Centre in Manama will be launching Layali Ramadan, a family festival together with a month-long series of activities with the arrival of the holy month.

Taking place in the heart of the Manama Suq, Layali Ramadan will feature a multitude of activities running in the evenings from 8pm to12.30am for one month starting from the first day of Ramadan, and will also mark traditional mid-month festivities like Gergaoun.

“In addition to fasting and spiritual purification, Ramadan is a month of community, making it a special time for family and friends to celebrate the spirit of togetherness. Many people have grown up with the Yateem Centre, so what better place to reminisce and share with the whole family during the holy month,” said Yateem Centre manager Andrew Petty.

The ‘Layali Ramadan’ event will feature a mini-golf zone, a traditional Arabic Hospitality Tent hosting traditional Bahraini food, music and family entertainment.

A children’s cinema area will play cartoons and movies. And it doesn’t stop here – evening entertainment will also include cartoon characters, balloon twisters, henna, face painting, traditional music shows, Freesa, gifts and plenty of other surprises, organisers say.

A weekly raffle draw will be staged for customers spending BD5 or more at Yateem Centre stores and there will be two hours of free parking in the basement car park.
