Cam directs Franklin’s production of The Phantom of the Opera, and when the original Phantom gets sick, Cam calls on Luke to fill in, much to Manny’s dismay. Jay trains Phil in golf, and the two end up having an impromptu game against Mitchell and Pepper. Haley and Dylan take care of Lily and Fulgencio, while Claire tries to point out Phil’s parenting mistakes. On the way to pick up supplies for the play’s after-party, Gloria and Alex take a detour to Gloria’s psychic.

Daniel lets the leaders from the Community of the Phoenix call the shots at Mode, and Bennett’s promises to reunite Daniel with his dead wife prompt Betty to action. She schemes with Claire on breaking through to him with an ingenious plan and finds unlikely allies in Matt and Amanda. Meanwhile, Wilhemina has let herself go, wearing sweats and garden clogs in public, prompting a tabloid feeding frenzy and spurring Marc to dig deeper into Nico’s mystery.

Captain Craig McKenzie (Christian Slater), a former US special forces soldier, is hired to protect a group of millionaires who want to experience firsthand the kicks and thrills of war. However, the mission goes horribly wrong, and the men get a lot more than they bargained for.

The team is called to southwest California when two murders occur within three hours of each other in San Diego and Los Angeles. Each victim was chained to the back of a vehicle and dragged. The victimology is different, the first a middle class wife and mother, the second an ex-con drug addict. These differences are brought together when a third murder occurs.
