For Muslims, Ramadan is a time for fasting and charity but some non-Muslim expatriates find the fasting part to be a challenge too.

One particular expat, who has shown the greatest respect and courtesy for his fasting colleagues during the holy month, was caught off guard last week when hunger pangs got the better of him.

During a hectic afternoon with no time to go home for lunch, he forgot that restaurants are closed during the day and announced to the office that he was planning to order KFC and asked if anyone wanted some.

Understandably, the rumbling coming from his stomach was quickly drowned out by the rumbling of hungry co-workers counting down the hours until iftar!
