Gulf Weekly Sutherland stars in sci-fi drama Touch

A rivetting sci-fi drama starring Kiefer Sutherland, Touch follows different people all over the world whose lives affect each other in ways that are both seen and unseen.

The plot revolves around single father Martin Bohm (Sutherland), who discovers that his 11-year-old son, Jake (David Mazouz) possesses the ability to perceive the seemingly hidden patterns that connect every life on the planet.

Touch – which blends together themes of science and spirituality – sees Martin attempt to connect with his emotionally-challenged son. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when he realises that it is his job to decipher the numbers that Jake is obsessed with and recognise their meaning.

In effect, the intriguing new drama series from Tim Kring (Heroes) stars Sutherland in his first television project since the Emmy-winning 24. The award-winning actor brings a real on-edge intensity to his role as Martin; he gives a powerful and compelling performance that perfectly captures the emotional depth of the father-son bond.
