THREE celebrated chefs from Spain recently joined up with the Domain Bahrain culinary team to present and teach its members a variety of specialist techniques.
Solegraells, a company set up by Ferran Adrià – the chef behind elBulli, a Michelin 3-star restaurant near the town of Roses in Catalonia – is renowned for its gastronomical delights.
Tapas specialist Alfonso Tomassoni Jaim, Sole Graells ‘Texturas’ product line representative Ana Carolina Alvardo and pasty supremo Maria Fatima Gismero put their talents to the test.
Throughout the week they provided three workshops, to which The Domain invited chefs from Bahrain and surrounding Gulf States to attend. In addition they trained several of the chefs in The Domain culinary team on how to use the Texturas line of products in their future menus.
Invited guests were able to taste and experience the magic during two lunches and dinners.
The Domain Bahrain’s Executive Chef, Kjell Kollin, was the man behind bringing the Solegraells team over to the island. He currently heads a team of more than 60 chefs, to bring to life the menus of IMARI, Le Sauvage, Le Domain [34], Figs and Olives, and The Deli at The Domain.
