The 2013 Bahrain Tennis Academy (BTA) Winter Junior Tennis Tournament will be staged at the Dilmun Club in Saar on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
More than 40 competitors will take to the courts in four categories – 6 & Under, 8 & Under, 10 & Under, 12 & Under.
Tournament director Dan Barrie said: “This event is designed to give children an introduction to competitive tennis.
“It will be played in a fun atmosphere with children of various nationalities as young as four participating.
“Younger children will initially participate in skills competitions while the older children will compete in a round-robin format.”
Participants will receive T-shirts, certificates, pizza and other prizes. Finalists will be awarded medals and trophies.
The tournament is open to all players aged 12 and under.
