The pairing of Petter Nyberg and Majid Al Zayed won first place in the penultimate competition of the BMMI Shops Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club with a nett score of 29.
Ali Jassim and playing partner Essa Ebrahim came second with a score of 30.5 nett while the duo of Naeem Khan and Rajinder Sachdeva came third.
Consistent performances from Khan and Sachdeva throughout the series mean that the pair top the series order of merit with 17 points, a full seven points clear of their nearest opponents, Ali Jassim and Essa Ebrahim.
Nearest the pin side contests on hole 12 and hole 16 were won by Steve Middleton and Graeme Newport respectively.
A prize presentation ceremony took place in the club’s Members’ Lounge after play. Jason Mejia, the Royal Golf Club’s tournament coordinator was on hand to present the prizes.
* The Royal Golf Club’s inaugural Christmas Open golf tournament, held in association with Coca-Cola and BMMI, tees off with a 12.30pm shotgun start this Saturday. It finishes up with a prize-giving ceremony and festive dinner after play. There are some fantastic prizes to be won. The tournament costs BD18 for members and BD 61 for visitors, inclusive of green fees and dinner.
