GulfWeekly reader Olivia Braganza bagged a pair of tickets to the New Year’s Eve Ballroom Party at the Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea and Spa when her name was picked up by the editor as the winner of a contest run by the newspaper in association with the five-star property.
Ms Braganza can now welcome 2014 with a bang as the show pays tribute to the great American entertainers from the past to the present.
Songs from the ‘good-old-days’ from artists like Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, Marvin Gaye, Donna Summer will be brought to life along with big hits such as Celebration, Car Wash and Ain’t Nobody by Chaka Khan.
Guest DJ from Orlando, Florida, DJ Gil Lugo, will be entertaining guests with his special mix of house, pop, electro, Top 40 hits as well as old time favourite classics. The evening is set at the Al Nakheel Ballroom from 8pm till the early hours.
