Within just nine months of its launch, VIVA Bahrain’s first Graduate Development programme for talented Bahraini nationals has received regional recognition and was named as the ‘Best Graduate Trainee Programme across Middle East’ at the annual Training & Development Awards for 2013, according to a press release from the telecommunications firm.

The programme was developed around grooming of personal attitude of young talented graduates into a professional/corporate attitude; building capacity for personal growth substantiating organisational growth and aligning individual performance to organisational performance, added the release.

The programme, launched in March 2013, is in its tenth month and is ready to deliver its first batch of talented graduates who have been effectively groomed to be high performing individuals.

Commenting on the honour, VIVA chief human resources officer Saud Al Tami said: “We are proud to have our Graduate Development Programme recognised with such a high profile award, further reinforcing our position as leaders in talent development in Bahrain. I appreciate all the support and guidance extended by the kingdom’s Labour Ministry in building strong governance and a robust curriculum with our training partner, BIBF, that finally strengthened our position and confirmed our success. Personally, I am very satisfied to see a talented set of Bahraini youth being groomed effectively for a rewarding corporate career within and outside VIVA.”
