Generosity is always welcomed … even if it is accidental. Recently a friend of the whisperer fancied some sushi. She and her husband made their way to a restaurant for a taste of new combination Maki rolls.  After devouring the platter, the wife decided to pick up the tab to thank her husband for his patience with all the errands they were running that day. As her husband made a zip line to the bathroom, she requested the bill which totaled to around BD10.700. She stuffed a BD20 into the little binder and handed it back to the waiter.

After a few minutes her husband returned and asked: “Are we good to go?” She nodded happily and they both left. It wasn’t until they reached their next destination and needed to pay a bill that she realised she never got back her change. The waiter never came back and ended up getting a BD9.300 tip!  While she has been quite forgetful these days she still kicked herself for spending BD20 on around eight pieces of sushi.
