Gulf Weekly Taking huge strides for children’s fashion

Al Rashid Group has put its best foot forward while launching another brand in Bahrain, adding to its impressive portfolio. Last week, the American children’s footwear brand Stride Rite officially opened in Bahrain City Centre.

Since 1919, the entire collection has been created from an in-depth knowledge and understanding of how children walk and grow.

I was really impressed because they boast of up to 40 tests per shoe for fit and durability. You will be comforted knowing your child will be walking in the right direction.

They are also the first to carry the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) seal on all their baby shoes.

When I went for their media launch I took along my boys and they measured their feet to make sure of accurate sizing. I just loved it because I haven’t found this anywhere else when shopping for their shoes here. When I take them shoe shopping I use the ‘where-is-the-big-toe’ technique and just a few days later I hear the moan that they are not fitting.

According to their research material, many adults with foot problems point to childhood footwear that was too small, too big or not properly constructed.

You will find license brands like Disney Baby, Star Wars, Marvel and Made 2 Play which are all exclusive to Stride Rite. Other brands that I noticed at the Bahrain City Centre outlet were Sperry Top-sider, Saucony, Keds and Jessica Simpson.
