The American Mission Hospital Amwaj Medical & Wellness Centre was dedicated to the people of Bahrain during its inauguration by Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty King Hamad’s personal representative.

More than 300 guests including Royal Family, ministers, ambassadors, board members and other VIPs were present as Shaikh Abdulla joined AMH CEO Dr George Cheriyan in unveiling a commemorative plaque dedicating the new clinic and cutting the ribbon to officially open the centre.

The centre boasts a fully-equipped, state-of-the-art urgent care unit as well as consultation rooms specifically designed around the wellness concept.

Dr Cheriyan said: “It is our great privilege to have Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa here as the king’s representative to open our new clinic.  American Mission Hospital has a 110-year history in the Kingdom of Bahrain and we are grateful for the continued support of His Majesty the King and to the people of Bahrain for their unwavering support. With this new clinic, we strive to meet the healthcare needs of the people close to where they live, not only for today, but for the future.”
