Celts Legends continued their good start to the season in the highly-competitive Bahrain Expat Football League with a 4-1 win over Daniele.
Brian Kelleher scored in the fifth minute after collecting a fine through ball from Martin Scannell. Kelleher doubled the lead a few minutes later with a great finish after beating two defenders.
Scannell increased the lead before half-time, putting the team 3-0 ahead and with attackers Onur Kutuk and Gokhan Ozgen combining well, they caused Daniele lots of problems in the first half.
Daniele came more into the game in the second half and reduced the deficit with a free kick 10 minutes into the second half. Kutuk restored the three-goal cushion with a well-worked team effort to complete the scoring.
For the Celts, defenders Gus Finucane, Fabio Schuler, Seamus Corry and James Egan kept the Daniele players at bay for most of the game. In goal, Stevie Leask pulled off some fine saves and was solid throughout.
