THERE are muscles on the menu at the Dilmun Club nowadays thanks to the generosity of club member Neil Fergusson.

He has kindly donated his beloved Bowflex gym equipment after hearing that the waiters, kitchen and grounds staff was resolved to rid themselves of pot bellies in a health conscious kick-off to 2014.

The British 49-year-old aircraft engineer, is also a member of the Ritz Carlton Bahrain Hotel & Spa’s sports club and has started working out there almost every day.

“I now use free weights at the Ritz and decided to sell the Bowflex,” he explained. “I know the Dilly staff quite well and I was chatting to some of the guys, and they were asking me what I was doing different with exercise as they noticed I was getting bigger across the chest and shoulders.

“They told me that it was difficult for them as they had no gym equipment. A room for the staff to work out was found and I donated the equipment. I gave them a quick lesson on how to use it and they love it, reporting their progress weekly!”
