A photographic exhibition called Inside India is being held at the Bin Mattar House in Muharraq until tomorrow. The images are by four Bahrain-based photographers including Haya Al Khalifa, Rasha Yousif, Saji Antony and Stephanie Ravel. The exhibition will coincide with India’s National Day celebrations. Opening times are Saturday to Thursday from 9am-1pm and 4-7pm.

Saudi singer Rabeh Saqer, right, will be performing live at this year’s Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. Saqer will be the first of three major concerts that will highlight the off-track entertainment at the upcoming motor racing spectacle, taking place on April 4-5-6, in Sakhir.
The concerts are part of the celebrations marking BIC’s 10th anniversary and landmark 10th hosting of the grand prix, which this year will be held at night for the very first time. Saqer will take to the stage on Friday, April 4, at 8pm. All three-day ticket holders will be able to attend the show free of charge. Two other major acts will also be entertaining the crowds during the weekend. Their identities will be announced shortly by the organisers.
The Bahrain Science Centre, part of Ministry of Social Development, is staging the Scary Skeleton Exhibition. The skeletons that attract visitors’ attention the most are the Dugongs which have a peculiar downturned skull, tapered body, large front flippers and lack of hind limbs. Few visitors realise that this extraordinary creature still lives off the shores of Bahrain.
The Lost Paradise of Dilmun Waterpark (LPOD) is organising the first ever LPOD Challenge on March 7 from noon until 3pm on its 2km 12 obstacle course. Part of the event proceeds will be donated to Ria Autism Centre. Participants will crawl through thick mud, climb up and down cargo nets, inclined walls and go through all the rides. It costs BD15 to participate and entrance will include a T-shirt, buffet BBQ, a raffle ticket and a certificate. Competitors must be 16 years and above. The raffle draw features 50 mystery prizes and the draw will take place at 4.30pm. The registration is limited to 200 participants and closing date is February 27.

Artist Areej Rajab’s ‘Pearl’ exhibition is on display at the Naqsh Gallery in Al A’ali Complex, Seef District. The expo will feature fine art pieces inspired by her fascination with the beauty and dazzling colours of the pearl. The event will continue until February 28. Areej Rajab’s artworks are displayed in the exhibition through the gallery’s newly launched product category, ‘N Prive’. Naqsh’s new product is a limited edition fine art collection featuring the original works of Areej Rajab and other distinguished artists.
