An annual golf tournament held at the Royal Golf Club in remembrance of all the people who died in the Al Dana Dhow tragedy on March 30, 2006, has raised more than BD100. The money will be used by the Christian Community Cemetery Committee to support the upkeep of a memorial headstone in the old Christian Cemetery in Manama.

The event was organised by The Royalists Golf Society. The Al Dana Memorial Trophy was won by club member Barry Hobday with 37 points, beating Rob Lane and Claus Hansen into second and third places, respectively, both achieving 36 points.
