Dutch DJ Afrojack lit up the stage later on Saturday night as he entertained a youthful crowd with an energetic rave on stage at the BIC after arriving in Bahrain as a last-minute replacement for sick note Swede, Avicii.

The record producer, real name Nick van de Wall, played a variety of songs under a terrific neon light display on the main stage, while fans jumped up and down to the beats and raised their arms in the air. Of particular note was the performance of popular hit Take Over Control which raised the levels of appreciation.
After the two-hour Scorpions show, many of the older generation left the area to be replaced by their younger counterparts, who duly released their inhibitions as they danced the night away.
One teenage fan Nikita Gjersøe from Saar, summed up the set, saying: “The atmosphere was really good. My friends and I got near the front and we were jumping up and down throughout. The lights were spectacular and the participation from the crowd was more than enthusiastic.”
