It took a super over to decide the winner of a thrilling contest in the Indian Club 7-A-Side Indian Expat Cricket Tournament, at the club premises.

Wellflow Gulf Mars XI defeated Al Seef Jewellers in the super over after scoring seven runs and then claiming two wickets off the first two balls when it was their turn to bowl. Earlier, electing to bat after winning the toss, Al Seef Jewellers, having scored more than 100 runs in six overs in an earlier match in the tournament, got off to a horrendous start and could only muster 45 runs for the loss of four wickets in six overs.

Rafiq was the top scorer with 18 runs, while Ajith bowled a wicket maiden. In reply, Wellflow Gulf Mars XI, in a topsy-turvy chase, settled at 45 for four wickets in their six overs to tie the match and take it into super over. Sandip scored an unbeaten 33 runs and was named man of the match. Vimal bowled a superb last over picking up three wickets for three runs.
