Chak De India routed Indian Club ‘A’ by six wickets thanks to an unbeaten captain’s knock of 30 runs by Vishwas Subramanya in the championship match of the Indian Club 7-a-side Indian Expat Cricket Tournament at the Indian Club premises.

Put in to bat Indian Club ‘A’ set a demanding target of 46 runs. They lost four wickets while scoring 45 runs in six overs. Prakash Fernandes was the top scorer with 13 runs and Vishwas picked up two wickets conceding seven runs.

In reply, Chak De India started cautiously but then Vishwas exploded in the fourth over bowled by Prakash and scored 25 runs including three sixes to win the title for his team. Vishwas bagged the ‘Man of the Match’ award for his efforts.

Earlier, in the third-place match, Indian Star defeated Central Café in the Super Over after scoring nine runs which the cafemen were unable to overhaul as they lost both their wickets in the process.

Third-place match scores: Central Cafe 33 for 5 in 6 overs (Nitesh 10; Sukesh 1 for 2) tied with Indian Star 33 for 4 in 6 overs (Prakash 15; Pranesh 2 for 5). Man of the match: Prakash of Indian Star.
