Summer just got brighter for children suffering from illnesses in the kingdom thanks to Duracell and the Dreams Society’s recent initiative 1 Pack = 1 Smile.
For every pack of Duracell TurboMax purchased until August 30, the alkaline batteries manufacturer and charity champions will be distributing Hasbro toys to terminally ill children being treated in Bahrain.
Hasbro is a branded play company dedicated to making children smile through its toys and games, television programming, motion pictures and digital gaming. The group features a variety of big-name brands such as Transformers, Monopoly, Play-Doh, My Little Pony, Magic: The Gathering, Nerf And Littlest Pet Shop.
Lea Jarrar, brand operations manager for Duracell Arabian Peninsula, said: “We are proud to announce Duracell’s first charity initiative in the region this summer. Our collaboration with Hasbro will allow consumers to touch the lives of children and spread joy across the region by simply purchasing one pack of Turbomax.”
The battery packs are situated on charity displays at all major hypermarkets and supermarkets across the island.
Dreams Society’s chairperson Eman Nooruddin is thrilled to be a part of this campaign. She said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Duracell through this initiative, whereby a small act of kindness, such as giving a toy goes a long way.
“With the support of Duracell’s customers we hope to be able to make children with terminal illnesses or debilitating diseases in Bahrain enjoy their holiday even more through this distribution of toys.”
