Ashley Price and Steve Middleton won first place in the second match of the new BMMI Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club with a nett score of 31.30.
The win puts the duo in first place in the overall order of merit having gained points last week when they placed second. Todd Gillespie and playing partner Graeme Newport took second place on countback in the ‘3x3 rumble’ competition with a score of 32.20 giving the duo third spot on the leaderboard.
Husband and wife pairing of Rob and Debbie Lane came third with 32.20 nett.
Robert Mills won a prize for coming closest to the pin on the 12th hole while no one was able to hit the green on hole 16.
More than 35 golfers competed in the competition. The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the club’s Members’ Lounge.
The series takes place every Monday evening. The 9-hole competitions are open to non-members at a cost of BD20 per night and tee off with a 6.30pm shotgun start. To register, contact the club’s golf events department on email golfevents@theroyalgolfclub.com.
