Imagine that I walk into your kitchen today and open your fridge. What would I see and what do you think I would ask you to change?
Let me tell you about the things that I most often feel like changing in other people’s fridges. My only rule is that I don’t remove anything unless I have a replacement and a healthier alternative for it.
The most common thing I see is cheese in different forms. Cheese and dairy products cause digestive issues, hormone imbalance, and even an increase in mucus production. We can replace cheese with hummus, pictured below, mutabal, or any other filling or dip such as guacamole.
The second most common thing I see is packaged juices. These most commonly contain added sugar and preservatives. It’s best to replace them with fresh home-made juices.
And of course, I always find sweets and chocolates. We can replace these with dark chocolate or raw chocolate, or even dates and date-based desserts such as date balls.
