J.P. Morgan Chase Bank has presented a cheque for BD1,500 to the American Mission Hospital (AMH) which will be used to support the AMH equipment fund as a hole sponsor of the 17th Annual AMH Island Classic Charity golf tournament held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad.

The tournament will be played on November 20-22 this year on His Majesty’s private golf course.

Ali Moosa, managing director & senior country officer of J.P. Morgan Chase Bahrain, presented the cheque to Julia Tovey, AMH chief operating officer, at the bank’s premises.

Mr Moosa said: “AMH has been committed to caring for the community for over 111 years and we are proud to be associated with such a long-standing, committed organisation whose main concern is the health and well-being of the community of Bahrain.”

The hospital’s senior manager, community & fundraising, Bahnaz Abbas, added: “J.P. Morgan Chase Bank continually shows its support of American Mission Hospital by its long-standing commitment to the AMH Island Classic Golf Tournament.

“With this donation we will be able to purchase new equipment, namely electronic beds for the Medical Surgical Pediatric Unit, which enables us to better treat our patients.”

A Sponsor’s Luncheon will be held on November 25 at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain, Hotel & Spa where sponsors will be honoured for their support of the tournament.
