THE InterContinental Regency Bahrain, one of Bahrain’s leading five-star hotels, has launched a new fully-integrated mobile application.
The initiative was launched at a recent press conference featuring an official presentation in which the wide range of the functionally-useful features were unveiled.
The mobile application has an A–Z interactive, user-friendly interface – the first of its kind in the kingdom – which the hotel’s management says is set to change the way customers make use of the services provided.
Customers will be able to use it for anything from room reservations to learning about special offers, for room service and housekeeping requests and making table reservations for in-house restaurants and spas.
Michael Koth, general manager of InterContinental Regency Bahrain, said: “We strive to stay ahead of developments in the hospitality industry in Bahrain. Being at par with our technology-savvy customers always makes us different from the others.”
The presentation was followed by an event to celebrate the launch of the mobile application and it also served as a farewell reception for area director of commercial Northern Gulf, Bahrain and Kuwait, Rafik Kamel.
He said: “We felt this to be the right move at the right time. With the launch of our mobile application we are able to take advantage of the popularity and versatility of technological advancements at hand and amplify the satisfaction factor of our customers.
“With solely the customers’ convenience in mind, it is intended to be a functional supplement to our many in-house services by providing all those amenities and facilities at your fingertips. A satisfied and well looked after customer is a reward in itself.”
Mr Kamel has been appointed as the new general manager at Holiday Inn Down Town Dubai, part of the InterContinental Hotels Group.
There are 187 InterContinental Hotels and Resorts around the world and eight hotels in the development pipeline, which will open over the next five years.
