Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa will play host to top French Chef Frédéric Simonin who will be making his first visit to the region next week giving guests the chance to experience Michelin star gastronomy.

Food-lovers can enjoy a ‘masterclass’ with the culinary star from November 12 to 15 starting at 10.30am to 1.30pm in La Mer Restaurant for BD24 net per person.
In the evening Chef Frédéric aims to delight diners with his unique take on French cuisine at the restaurant. Dinner will be served between 7pm-10.30pm and is priced at BD38 net per person.

The chef discovered his passion for cooking at the age of 15 as a trainee in Saint Brieuc and was acclaimed as The Best Trainee of Bretagne three years later.
 
His culinary career began as a commis at Ledoyen with Ghislane Arabian before gaining experience in some of the most prestigious restaurants in Europe including Le Meurice, Taillevent and Le George V working alongside Philippe Legendre.

In 2002 he became the chef of Ledoyen which was later renamed Le Seize au Seize and received his first Michelin star. His second Michelin star was awarded in 2006 while working as chef of La Table de Joel Robuchon. Later in 2006, Chef Frédéric moved to London for Joel Robuchon restaurants and received two star Michelin awards.

In 2010 Chef Frédéric opened his first restaurant in Paris and that too received a Michelin star rating in 2011. The chef delights experienced foodies in a sophisticated setting, haute-couture presentation and ingredients of the highest quality.

His dishes have been labelled ‘ultra-creative’ all the while revisiting natural flavours with subtlety and passion.
