THE search is on for a tune played on Radio Bahrain back in the early 1990s. A friend of the Whisperer felt nostalgic over the weekend and is now hoping to get her hands on what she referred to as an ‘oldie but a goodie’.
She lovingly recalls being driven to school by her dad and listening to the upbeat jingle about Bahrain in, particularly, Bab Al Bahrain.
It seems it was such a catchy tune that many kids and adults would sing it at times just for laughs. She recently contacted the radio station in an attempt to get her hands on the promotional jingle to surprise her mother-in-law who has been searching long and hard for a copy of the song. It was an epic fail.
