Carter Alexander and playing partner Stewart Tankard won first prize in the opening match of the new BMMI Shops Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club with a nett score of 34.5.
The duo of Graeme Newport and Todd Gillespie were runners-up with a score of 35.1 nett while David Wales and Dagfrid Berge clinched third place with 35.7 nett. Nearest the pin side contests on holes 12 and 16 were won by Graeme Newport and David Wales, respectively.
More than 35 golfers took part in the Greensomes competition, the first of a six-week series. Golf operations manager Sheldon Cameron presented the prizes in the Members’ Lounge.
